What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry Mechanic Fulltime Dayshift position at Century Casinos Inc?
FUNCTION:
Repair and maintain washers, driers, extractors, condensers, pumps, blowers, presses, and other laundry equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to multitask in fast paced environment.
- Operate, examine, and dismantle equipment to diagnose cause of malfunctions.
- Repair or replace parts, using hand and power tools and measuring instruments.
- Replace components, such as bearings, motors, belts, and microswitches.
- Repair / replace faulty sections of water, steam, and pneumatic pipes, valves, and fittings, using plumbing hand and power tools.
- Dismantle steam traps and remove sediment.
- Remove faceplates from equipment to clean out dust, lint, and other debris.
- Lubricate machines and equipment, using grease gun and oil cans.
- Maintain daily record of work requests, preventative maintenance work requests and related paperwork.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools including but not limited to wrenches, hammers hydraulic jacks, snakes, drill motors, auger equipment, electric metering devices, etc.
- Upon approval order spare and replacement parts.
- Strong knowledge and troubleshooting skills in electrical, mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, steam, and natural gas equipment.
- Ability to engage in considerable physical activity daily.
- Ability to read, understand, and interrupt equipment technical service manuals, schematic drawings, and equipment electronic control panels and software.
- Ability to be flexible with work schedules and carry out responsibilities during weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Establish and maintain effective channels of communication with all levels of the Nugget team and guests.
- Using the Nugget’s system of recognition, recognize team members who are going “above and beyond” as appropriate.
- Knowledgeable of and consistently follow Nugget policies and procedures as well as appropriate local, state, and federal regulations.
- Perform work in a safe manner and always maintain a safe environment for fellow team members and guests alike.
- Immediately report unsafe conditions, team member or guest incidents to Security, Management, and the Safety Manager.
- Maintain a positive and professional image for the Nugget when performing duties or representing the Nugget and encourages others to do the same.
- Regular predictable attendance is required.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: Director of Facilities
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 21 years of age.
Advanced knowledge and understanding of OSHA, EPA, MSDA, and Hazmat requirement.
EDUCATION LEVEL:
College or Technical school degree required.
LANGUAGE:
Effectively communicate with others both verbally and in written form using the English language.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a commercial laundry facility, large hotel, or casino.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift, and move product up to 50 lbs.
Fine finger manipulation.
Work environment may include smoke and variable temperature, lighting, and noise levels.
Work may be performed indoors and outdoors during special events.
