As a Payroll and Benefits Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and processing the company’s payroll and employee benefits programs with accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance. You will collaborate closely with the HR Director, Finance team, other departments, and third-party vendors to ensure all payroll and benefits processes align with company policies and federal/state regulations.
Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. Hybrid work schedule with office located near Innsbrook, Glen Allen, Virginia. Must be able to work from our Richmond office minimum two day per week.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and administer all facets of payroll functions, including weekly timesheet maintenance to ensure timesheets are submitted accurately and timely.
- Maintains complete employee personnel files, records and other documentation.
- Manage employee status changes and maintain timely and accurate submission of those changes.
- Administer the time and attendance policy and paid leave policy for all employees.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, FSA/HSA, 401(k), life insurance, disability, and leave programs.
- Communicate and educate associates to ensure understanding of benefit plans
- Coordinate benefits enrollment and changes, including open enrollment and new hire onboarding.
- Serve as the primary contact for employee questions related to payroll and benefits.
- Ensure Summary Plan Descriptions are updated by carriers and providers when plan changes are made. Distribute SPDs to plan participants.
- Coordinate required New Hire and COBRA notifications with third party COBRA administrator.
- Prepare various reports for HR, Finance, auditors, and regulatory agencies as required.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned
Requirements
- Associates Degree preferred
- 2 years’ hands on experience in payroll processing and benefits administration.
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word.
- Familiarity with payroll software and HRIS systems (e.g., ADP, Paylocity, Paycom).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with other management staff, employees, and general public.
- Time Management- aptitude for effectively prioritizing tasks to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with internal and external customers in a positive manner.
