Gain Experience in Ophthalmology and Optometry
Job Description:
We offer a unique opportunity for college students to gain experience at a state-of-the-art multi-physician ophthalmology practice.
As a paid summer intern, you will participate in patient care and intake, learning and building skills as a medical scribe.
You will also gain knowledge of advanced ICD-10, CPT coding, ophthalmic terminology, and the use and functions of HVF, OCT, IOL Master, and Fundus Photography.
This is an ideal opportunity for current or graduating college and/or graduate students in healthcare studies, including pre-med, optometry, ophthalmic technician, and medical assistant programs.
Requirements:
- Enrollment in health care studies
- Interest in ophthalmology
- Knowledge of medical scribe (a plus)
- Personal attributes: discipline, timeliness, reliability, professional behavior, and teamwork skills
- Good communication and people skills
- Compassion for patient service
- Eagerness to learn new technology
- Bilingual speaking (a plus)
