Position Summary
Position is responsible for overseeing the plant manufacturing processes with goals of maximizing company efficiencies, satisfying customer needs and ensuring the production processes flow smoothly.
Position Details
- Determines production priorities and ensure resources are available
- Oversees paperwork & daily releases for production
- Schedules weekly production and releases production orders
- Plans purchased parts for each cutting
- Interacts with Customer Service and Manufacturing to communicate production status, required resources, shortages, ship and delivery dates
- Order all paper and labels needed for the office
- Supports and substitutes for schedulers at the other factories
- Additional duties may be assigned
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous SAP experience (or similar) desired
- Work day starts at 6:30am
- Must be able to make informed decisions independently and seek guidance/direction when necessary
- 3-5 years of manufacturing or production planning experience a plus
- Must be able to communicate with all levels or the company
- Must be able to prioritize duties
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
- Must be able to climb steps and ladders, as needed
