Mold Repair Technician

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Has responsibility for completing all quality checks and paperwork associated with job tasks.

· Test, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair faulty or damaged tooling.

· Analyze drawings, sketches, and design data of parts to determine tool specifications and tolerances.

· Keep presses operational.

· Perform preventative maintenance on molds.

· Restore damaged surfaces and re-machines to specifications.

· Reassemble, test, and adjust tooling.

· Perform slide changes.

· Check water flow on higher volume tooling.

· Knowledgeable in the areas of mold and tool making.

· Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner by getting along with customers, clients, co-workers, supervisors, managers, and all other employees.

· Responsible for adhering to and maintaining all quality system procedures and requirements related to the position.

· Must adhere to all safety rules and company policies.

· Attendance/punctuality: is consistently at work and on time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (continued)

· Perform other repairs, corrections, and engineering changes to molds as requested by Production Tooling Manager.

· Teach and guide apprentices through all facets of mold making.

Education and/or Experience:

Four to ten years related experience and/or training with Journeyman or Master craftsman certification; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills:

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; Ability to learn new software as needed.
