Machine Maintenance Technician

POSITION SUMMARY: Insure company machines are running to peak operating parameters. Insure machines meet company guidelines for safe operation and maximum efficiency. The Machine maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing of machines and support equipment, and any related maintenance activities to support company commitments and requirements

NATURE OF ASSIGNMENTS / DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow lockout/tag out rules and guidelines of machine manufacturer and company.
• Perform troubleshooting and repair of NC machines and conventional machines which include electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical repairs and installations.
• Perform preventative maintenance of all NC machines and support equipment as per the preventative maintenance schedule and procedures.
• Maintains repair logs and schedules PM as required.
• Track downtime and report monthly to department manager.
• Follow and implement predictive maintenance procedures as per manufacturer specifications and work-related experience with machines.
• Insure preventive maintenance is performed in a timely fashion and machine is returned to the department in better condition than it was received.
• Control downtime by informing machining personnel of routine preventive maintenance techniques while monitoring compliance.
• Work with outside suppliers to preform upgrades and complicated repairs that can not be preformed by the technician.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Assist in the preparation of presentations for customers as needed.
• Participate in cross functional teams and other duties as required but not limited to office manager tasks.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC:

• Machine shop experience of 3 to 5 years at a minimum.
• 3 to 5 years’ experience repairing NC Machines.
• Programming experience on NC machines a plus.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in high stress environment.
• Use computers to assist in troubleshooting equipment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines; accomplish work in order of priority; professionally maintain composure and effectiveness under pressure and changing conditions while maintaining confidentiality.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds. Must be able to talk, walk, stand, and sit an office environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
