Cenveo is a leading North American manufacturer of envelopes with over 100 years of experience and approximately 30 billion envelopes manufactured annually. We are hiring immediately for an experienced Plant Controller for our Chicago, IL and Kirksville, MO locations (the position will primarily work out of the Chicago, IL plant).
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years in a similar role in a manufacturing setting with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance / Other relevant field or equivalent work experience will be considered.

Plans, develops, and directs financial policies and procedures and provides accurate and timely financial reports. Safeguards company assets by maintaining an effective system of controls. Interprets the results of operations, collaborates with operations, sales and finance; communicates results to company executives and is a business leader.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities (
Essential Functions)These are functions a qualified incumbent or applicant must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation.
Prepare monthly analysis of financial and operational results for the business unit comparing actual results to forecast, budget and prior year. Interprets the results of operations to all levels of management and tracks key performance indicators.Perform financial and operational analysis in areas such as customer & job profitability, inventory management, cost of sales review, capacity utilization and cycle counts.Prepare the monthly operating forecast that provides business leaders with insight towards the expected operational performance of the plant.Responsible for managing and reviewing the month end closing process.Prepare and review journal entries; balance, reconcile and analyze assigned general ledger accounts.Prepare the supporting financial analysis for all business unit capital expenditures.Recommends and implements techniques to reduce working capital, increase efficiencies, cut costs, and take advantage of opportunities.Prepare the yearly budget and review with management.Maintain a system of internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial statements, general ledger balances and processes in accordance with GAAP, corporate policies and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. Coordinates internal and external financial and tax audits.Monitors and ensures the accuracy of inventory levels and valuation which includes directing the physical and cycle count inventories.Directs credit and collection functions; Approves terms and credit limits above predetermined dollar amounts.Future responsibilities may extend to other location (s).Other (Non-Essential) Functions

Other duties and assignments as required.Job Requirements
Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required. MBA, CPA, or CMA preferred.Minimum of 5 years finance / accounting experience, which includes previous management experience in multiple business functions.Manufacturing experience is required.Strong computer skills with a proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and Word. JDE system experience highly desired. HFM / Essbase experience preferred..Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to deal with all levels of the organization including communicating effectively with senior management.Strong detail orientation, analytical and organization skills are essential.The ability to demonstrate high level leadership and decision-making skills, supported by a clear understanding of strategies with a strong focus on results.Demonstrated success as a strong negotiator and influencer.A proven ability to effectively manage, mentor and develop staff.Knowledge of managerial and cost accounting principles.Clear understanding of GAAP and the ability to maintain and enhance the system of internal control.This position requires an ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.This position requires contact with all functional areas of the division including the General Manager. It also requires contact with internal / external auditors, corporate employees, and government agencies.This position may require occasional travel.Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions
This position requires the incumbent to regularly utilize written and verbal communication skills, including active listening.Environment is typically general office, though the incumbent may spend periods of time in the manufacturing environments with exposure to dust, dirt, high noise levels and variations in temperature.
