Job Title: Manufacturing Process Engineer-Nonwovens
Location: Virginia
The primary function of this role is to provide a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer to provide expertise in process MAT/nonwoven materials, solve technical processing problems, modify or control processes to improve product quality or efficiency, and provide technical service assistance and product recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with customers, R&D, manufacturing, and sales teams to establish mutually agreed-upon specifications.
- Assist business management and marketing teams in determining trends in new product and process technology.
- Represent the company at industry meetings, trade shows, and conferences.
- Participate directly in technical problem solving at the customer level.
- Stay up-to-date with developments in materials (fibers, nonwovens, films, adhesives, metals) and associated processing technology.
- Suggest changes in manufacturing processes to improve process control, cost, quality, or efficiency.
- Work with production personnel to solve processing difficulties.
- Work with QC team members to review customer claims.
- Maintain proficiency in design of experiment (DOE) and statistical analysis.
- Coordinate plant trials, collect and analyze data.
- Analyze data, evaluate results, draw conclusions, and report accordingly.
- Create reports, graphs, or other visuals to communicate trends and correct quality issues.
- Aid with the purchase and installation of new process equipment.
- Maintain a high safety and health standard.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management, including item setup, creating set-up sheets, and providing feedback to customers when needed.
