General Description:
The Director of Global Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR) will lead the development and execution of HEOR evidence strategies to drive robust market access and demonstrate the value of Cepheid’s diagnostics portfolio. Reporting into the Senior Director of Global HEOR, in this highly visible role the Director of HEOR will play a pivotal role in the growth of Cepheid’s evidence generation capabilities.
This position is part of the Value and Access team and will be remote. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Lead the development and implementation of global HEOR strategies to demonstrate the value proposition of Cepheid’s testing portfolio across a range of disease categories including but not limited to respiratory infectious diseases and health-care associated infections
Serve as an internal subject matter expert and partner closely with Medical Affairs, Scientific affairs, Government Affairs, Market Access, and Marketing functions to identify global HEOR evidentiary requirements and develop impactful value messages to optimize access and reimbursement
Design and manage HEOR studies including but not limited to targeted/systematic literature reviews, retrospective claims/EMR studies, burden of disease/natural history studies, comparative effectiveness/indirect treatment comparisons, agent-based modeling, and health economic models through presentation at scientific congresses and submission of manuscripts for publication to peer-reviewed journals
Independently execute internal research projects as needed, such as ad-hoc health economic analyses for strategic decision-making
Manage relationships with external researchers and consultants to ensure timely completion of high-quality projects aligned to each test’s specific strategic objective
Lead the design and execution of key launch readiness activities including the development of value dossiers and tools to ensure payer insights are optimally leveraged; strategically partner cross-functionally to implement the evidence required for external engagements
The essential requirements of this job include:
Bachelors degree with 12+ years of related work experience OR Masters with 8+ experience OR Doctoral degree in field with 5+ years of related work experience.
5+ years of relevant HEOR experience in pipeline and marketed products
Advanced understanding of HEOR scientific principles across health economics, real world evidence analyses, and epidemiology including direct experience developing dossiers and key deliverables to support reimbursement in US/major EU markets
Demonstrated knowledge of global HTA evidentiary requirements and processes
Experience with peer-reviewed publication of HEOR analyses and/or literature synthesis
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
Domestic and international travel may be required up to 25% of your time.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
HEOR in diagnostics/medical devices, particularly for infectious diseases, acute diseases, healthcare associated infections, and/or sexual health
Superior verbal and written communication skills
Experience simultaneously managing data generation efforts across multiple therapeutic areas
Salary : $132,000 - $220,000
