Location : Deer Park, TX (3 days onsite)

Job Description
ERP / SAP Application Lead will support the IT Enterprise Digital Solutions Manager to drive alignment between IT and the business. The scope of the role includes leading our Contracts & Procurement (Supply Chain Management), Finance, Maintenance, and HR teams through daily IT continuous improvement activities. This includes understanding their business processes, requirements, and use of each application. The ERP / SAP Application Lead will assist in project planning and execution, coordination with vendors, pre & post project support, and define support models. From a site perspective, this person will be the link between the business and our different IT teams, translating business needs into technical solutions. This role will assist in establishing IT Applications best practices at the site. The successful candidate must seek to understand the Refinery business, Oil and Gas practices, and feel comfortable working in a Plant type environment. Creativity and customer centric attitudes are fundamental in this role.
Stakeholder Management
Interacts with business stakeholders, their engagements / projects, understanding needs and / or requirements
Represent Contracts & Procurement, Finance, Maintenance, and HR needs to be incorporated into the overall Enterprise Architecture
Handle and manage portfolio Applications within SCM, Finance, Maintenance, and HR
Actively participate in Business and IT team discussions, bringing in best practices to and from site (potentially sitting on Supply Chain & Procurement, Finance, Maintenance, and HR staff meetings)
Value Generation & Protection
Maintain & support portfolio of Applications used by Contracts & Procurement, Finance, and HR teams
Work with business to define and document business processes
Lead any new application projects, deployments and enhancement
Contribute to the creation of knowledge-based articles used for Support
Lead the offsite Applications Support teams
Understand, plan, and deploy application upgrades / patches
Contribute to budget management for Applications control spend
Definition / control of Application Support Desk KPIs
Define / Modify end user service model escalations, levels of service, feedback from end users
Contribute to IT communications prepare and communicate for specific applications working with IT Operations lead
IT Policies and procedures define, deploy and enforce correct use of applications.
Interact with all IT Teams coordinating daily activities and projects
Dimensions :
Will support the IT Enterprise Digital Solutions Manager and Site Leadership Team in delivering a reliable and safe Applications environment for End Users to work in
Skills & Experience Required :
Understanding of common applications used at a Refinery
Strong technical abilities within application design, configuration, implementation, and support, of SAP system.
Strong Functional knowledge in various modules of SAP and ABAP knowledge
Should have deep working knowledge of Supply Chain processes (i.e. Product Life, Operations Planning, Sourcing & Procurement, Production Planning and Execution, Inventory Management, Quality Management and Control, etc.), and integration to financial processes (Cost Accounting, Accounts Payable / Receivable)
Understanding of Enterprise Project Performance tools (i.e. Hexagon Ecosys, Coupa)
Understanding of key 'pain points' in typical IT Applications environment
Ease / Proficiency in understanding complex business process and being able to translate them into technical solutions.
Experience developing "how to use" type documents
Experience creating an applications inventory and portfolio
Ability to lead, communicate and interact with offsite Support teams
Experience having worked in similar roles or environments
Strong communication skills (written and verbal), among IT, digital and business stakeholders
Comfortable in a multi-tasking type environment
Required Experience in the following software :
o SAP / SAP S4 / Hana
o Coupa or SAP Ariba
Preferred Experience in the following software :
o MCi TRACK
o EcoSys
o HRIS and / or payroll systems
o Contractor management systems
