Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Landscape Construction Project Manager to oversee and manage various construction projects. The ideal candidate will have expertise in project scheduling, estimating, and project coordination.
Expectations and Duties:
Field Work
- Relate the plan details to the proposal and estimate. Use details to create a sequence of work to help coordinate material deliveries, equipment needs, and labor skill sets required for the job
- Organize site condition needs such as utility locates, irrigation components, permits, DRB approvals / meetings, coordination/ involvement of other trades
- Organize daily work and communicate expectations clearly and effectively with work force
- Manage day to day field operations for several projects simultaneously including the management of up to 16 crew members
- Train workforce as necessary for work at hand. Focus on safety and quality
- Coordinate site walk throughs and execute punch lists during project close out to ensure client satisfaction
- Complete projects within allocated time and budget
Communication, Teamwork and Scheduling
- Effective communication skills to create relationships with architects, general contractors, property managers, homeowners, other trades, Ceres employees and BU managers
- Manage unforeseen changes to daily operating schedule. Having the ability to spontaneously adjust to daily tasks / project sequencing to maintain productive and efficient work force
- The coordinated efforts required to assist with other company construction managers as they relate to crew member capacity, vehicle usage, materials, and equipment
- Schedule other company departments involved with job site build out
- Assist in scheduling new sold work and integrating into ongoing day to day operational schedule
- Create detailed project schedules when required
- Attend Team meetings as they relate to project details design, safety, moral, budgets, or scheduling
Administrative
- Proficiency with the use of communication tools and systems to track client information through Aspire, Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel and Outlook
- Assist in accurate invoicing of projects whether it is Time and Materials, Lump Sum, Cost Plus, or Percentage of Completion
- Provide accurate and timely documentation of all project supporting costs and time tracking measures for owner progress reports and monthly billing cycles
- Onboard new crew members: Time clock management, tool storage, bathroom, truck keys, safety, general procedures
- Assist with crew member relations including onboarding, training, regular review processes including both exemplary gratification notices and assistance with disciplinary concerns
- Misc. admin duties such as: distribution of payroll check, invoice coding, relay company announcements, and enforcement of company procedures
Safety
- Insist on crew using safety gear and performing safety checks
- Find new ways to improve safety
- Communicate safety values and procedures to crews
- Maintain weekly equipment and vehicle inspections for proper function and ensure safety
Quality
- Demonstrate and insist on care, quality, craftmanship and integrity in all aspects
- Meet productivity standards including the timely completion of work for the purpose of striving to increase productivity through efficient and effective measures while maintaining the project budget
Dependability
- Arrive at work on time; ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent; arrives at meetings and appointments on time
- Limited time off during peak season
- Follow instructions; responds to management direction; completes tasks on time
- Show willingness to go above and beyond
Requirements
- Verbal and written English skills with perhaps Spanish (bi-lingual) communication skills as desirable
- Proficient level of Landscape knowledge and skills in all aspects of installation with at least 7 years of field experience
- Capable of jobsite management and all associated resource coordination for project completion
- High level of customer service and communication skills with focus on managing client requests
- Valid Colorado driver’s license and be insurable under company vehicle policy
