Certi-Dry specializes in Water, Mold, and Fire damage restoration. The Mission for Certi-Dry is to be the first responder and trusted adviser to our clients, and to protect, save, mitigate, and rebuild our client’s properties with compassion and commitment through service excellence, by investing in quality personnel with extensive training in disaster management and remediation.
The primary responsibility of this role is to organize storage of all correspondence, contracts, bills, POs, liens, and other documents related to construction projects and accounting. Prepare project budgets, including cost schedules, and working with field personnel to stay within those budgets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable; reconcile invoices from vendors; ensure a steady cash flow by generating, auditing, and sending invoices in a timely manner
- Prepare audit work papers and schedules
- Prepare monthly loan draw requests for multiple construction projects and monitor job costs projects
- Review and process subcontract and consultant payment requests
- Analyze project expenditures and project accounting transactions
- Review budgets, including staffing, work plans, and fee structures; estimate labor and material costs
- Collect and verify the information for and prepare payroll payments for employees
Required Skills:
- Associate's degree in accounting; Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2-5 years experience as an accounting clerk with progressive responsibilities
- Previous experience in a construction environment with experience in project invoicing and billing preferred
- Demonstrated ability to prepare project budgets, job costing and payroll reports
- Demonstrated assertiveness and self-confidence
- Familiarity with accounting software, Bill.com and Quickbooks preferred
- Demonstrated tenacity to investigate and resolve open issues with payables, payroll, supplements
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, meet time sensitive deadlines and organize workload with general supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication, portraying a high degree of professionalism
- High level attention to detail with demonstrated critical thinking skills
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, Adobe, MAC OS
