Roofing Superintendent- full time

We are an industry leader here in South Florida established in 1986 and provide roofing, waterproofing, and general contracting services to the commercial market throughout Florida. From “emergency” leak response to complete roof renovations, we pride ourselves on providing outstanding services to our clients by assisting them with maintaining the water integrity of their buildings. As a superintendent you would be responsible for providing the oversight, direction and coordination of all field activities related to the project and managing the project schedule through the project lifecycle. You would also be responsible for securing any unique materials and/or equipment required to complete the project while providing technical direction and ensuring compliance with quality standards providing our clients with a great experience. What you'll do as a successful Superintendent on our team:
1. Coordinate the efforts of all parties involved in the project, which include the architects, consultants, sub-contractors, laborers, and other trades.
2. Serve as an authority on construction methods and materials, construction standards and company construction policies and procedures.
3. Manage daily job site operations, including maintaining adequate materials and supplies.
4. Manage workforce ensuring compliance with all applicable company and client policies.
5. Maintain timely and accurate communication with client and company management regarding important issues related to job progress and crew performance.
6. Be responsible for managing and completing projects with the highest degree of quality in the safest and most cost-effective manner. Consistently strive to improve job site efficiency and cost containment.
7. Maintain job site records, daily reports, delay requests and weather reports as required.
8. Provide support to production / project manager as required for materials, schedule, and cost information.
9. Prepare estimates for minor change orders. Provide information/support to estimators for major change orders.
10. Coordinate all applicable project related meetings.
11. Build and maintain optimum field team performance to deliver a superior experience to our clients. Be responsive to questions of clients and management regarding all project related challenges / issues.
The qualifications we’re seeking for the successful applicant:
1. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret construction documents, contracts, and technical documents
2. Knowledge of Florida building codes and federal safety standards and regulations.
3. Experience working in a collaborative capacity with clients (internal and external)
4. Excellent communication and organizational abilities, including the ability to write competent and clear e-mail correspondence to all levels of management.
5. Ability to keep calm and organized under pressure and within fast-paced schedules.
6. Ability to seamlessly adapt and react to changes in the client’s needs and the project.
7. Ability to lead discussions and manage the expectations of the entire project team including owner, owner’s representative, field personnel and internal management.
8. A proactive approach to managing projects with the ability to anticipate and resolve potential issues before they occur.
9. Proven time management and strong logical decision-making ability
10. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the commercial roofing industry.
11. Ability to stand for long periods of time, safely ascend/descend stairways, scaffolds, (up to) a 40 ft. ladder, and lift (up to) 75 pounds.
12. Ability to work in outdoor “South Florida” weather conditions without physical limitations. From time to time this position requires repetitive movement, bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching, stooping or crawling.
13. Communication and computer skills appropriate to the requirements of the position.
14. A valid driver's license (acceptable by our Insurance Carrier)

The starting salary range for the successful candidate is $75,000.00-$100,000.00. This position is a salaried position with an opportunity to participate in our Corporate Bonus program.
