Certified Home Health Aide

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated CERTIFIED Home Health Aide to provide essential support and care to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including seniors and individuals with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care services such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting assistance.
• Assist clients with mobility and physical activities to enhance their quality of life.
• Support medication management by reminding clients to take prescribed medications.
• Monitor and document clients' health status, reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
• Facilitate communication between clients, families, and healthcare providers.
• Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, including dementia care strategies.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
• Assist with catheter care and other medical needs as required.
• Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.

Experience

• Previous experience in home community care or senior care is preferred.
• Familiarity with patient care systems used in home health settings.
• Experience working in nursing homes or with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
• Certification in CPR is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of dementia care techniques is beneficial.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients are essential.
• Must demonstrate a commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and dignity at all times.
