Serving Wisconsin since 1969 from our Menomonee Falls location and in 2000 from our Fox Cities location, we provide prompt and knowledgeable solutions for our customers weighing applications.

Certified Scale was the first calibration laboratory dedicated exclusively to weighing devices in Wisconsin to achieve ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation by A2LA, with initial certification in 1999 and continuing to the present day.

With a combined company total of over 100 years experience in the weighing industry, we provide efficient and reliable service on all types of weighing systems from laboratory balances weighing in milligrams to tank and hopper scales weighing in tons. Our fleet of service vehicles includes five test trucks and all necessary equipment to properly service your weighing requirements.

Responsibilities:
In the role of Field Service Technician you will be responsible for performing repairs, installations, and calibration adjustments at customer's facilities in a diverse variety of industries. Equipment serviced ranges from simple mechanical units to fully computerized batching and data collection systems; these range in capacity from 2g to 40,000 lbs. This is a highly physical and active position, but also demands high mental agility with frequent troubleshooting of electronic components with some interfacing to peripherals, and computer systems and networks.

General working hours for this position is Monday -- Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. We offer our customers 24/7 service, and though uncommon, some after-hours, out-of-area, and weekend work is necessary. Conversely, we are flexible with working hours when personal time is needed.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma required; Certificate or diploma beyond High School is desired
• Good mechanical aptitude
• Knowledge of basic electrical/electronic principles and ability to troubleshoot
• Valid driver's license required
• Excellent verbal, oral, and written communication
• Must be thorough, accurate and have excellent attention to detail
• Ability to regularly and repeatedly lift 50 lb. test standards in both pleasant and adverse conditions
• Ability and willingness to learn new technology

Helpful but Not Required:

• Certification in electronics, automotive mechanics or related field is desirable
• Knowledge of computers and interfacing devices to them is a plus

A pre-employment, post offer drug screen and physical along with background screen are required. A clean driving record and passing score for the State of Wisconsin DATCP licensing exam is required.
