What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transmission Rebuilder position at Certified Transmission?
Certified Transmission is looking to add multiple transmission rebuilders to our growing team. At Certified Transmission, you'll join a dedicated team of over 400 employees spread across our remanufacturing facilities in Omaha, Nebraska, and Fort Dodge, Iowa. With over 50,000 transmissions remanufactured annually for our nationwide network, we have a commitment to excellence.
This is a hands-on position that puts YOU in charge of your own destiny. In our extensive on-site training program, you can apply yourself to learn automotive transmission disassembly, theory/functionality, assembly, and the full technical rebuild process. What you bring to the table:
- Experience as a mechanic, automotive or maintenance technician
- Strong mechanical knowledge and experience in automotive diagnostics
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools for vehicle maintenance
What will you do as a transmission rebuilder:
- Determine unit condition by conducting inspections and testing
- Diagnose transmission failures
- Identify worn and damaged parts
- Safely use variety of automotive tools
- Correct unit deficiencies by repairing, adjusting, and replacing sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems.
- Train to remanufacture transmissions to meet desired specifications
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace
