Janitorial Worker- Part time

This is a part time position, various days of the week and weekend.

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
• Conduct custodial duties in both residential and commercial settings.
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Carry out facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs.
• Buff and polish floors to maintain their appearance and longevity.
• Handle industrial cleaning tasks with appropriate safety measures.
• Assist with porter duties, such as moving furniture or equipment when necessary.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and organized for efficient use.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning preferred.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment operation is a plus.
• Knowledge of residential painting is desirable but not mandatory.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may require lifting or moving items.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment for all facility users.
