Job Summary PART TIME - TWO DAYS PER WEEK

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with a focus on commercial spaces.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of floors and surfaces.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, waxing, and polishing to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Carry out custodial duties in various facilities, ensuring all areas are clean and well-maintained.
• Ensure that all cleaning supplies are stocked and organized for efficient use.
• Follow safety protocols while handling cleaning chemicals and equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
• Respond promptly to cleaning requests or emergencies to maintain facility standards.
• Maintain records of cleaning schedules and tasks completed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in commercial cleaning, custodial services, or facilities maintenance is preferred.
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and equipment is a plus.
• Ability to perform floor care tasks including buffing and waxing effectively.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Good organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently.
• Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Physical stamina is required as the role involves standing for long periods and lifting moderate weights.
