Construction Administration Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Construction Administration Manager to oversee the administrative and contractual facets of our infrastructure projects. This pivotal role ensures that construction activities align with design specifications, budgets, and schedules, while upholding the highest quality and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Documentation and Control:
- Manage all project documentation, including contracts, change orders, submittals, and RFIs.
- Maintain accurate records of project communications, drawings, and specifications.
- Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
- Establish and enhance project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
Contract Management:
- Monitor adherence to contract terms and conditions.
- Facilitate timely processing of change orders and amendments.
- Review and approve contractor pay applications.
Coordination and Communication:
- Act as a liaison among project managers, contractors, clients, and regulatory agencies.
- Organize and participate in project meetings; prepare agendas, minutes, and track action items.
- Collaborate with design teams and contractors to meet project requirements and specifications.
Schedule and Budget Management:
- Coordinate and monitor project budgets and schedules.
- Ensure projects progress within established timelines and financial constraints.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Ensure construction activities and workmanship comply with project specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and address non-compliance areas.
- Coordinate the submission and review of construction submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings.
Project Closeout:
- Oversee the project closeout process, ensuring receipt and review of final documentation, punch lists, warranties, as-built drawings, and operation manuals.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in construction administration or project management, focusing on contract management and project documentation.
- Comprehensive understanding of construction processes, contracts, and documentation standards.
Certifications:
- SCDOT or NCDOT certifications (e.g., construction material testing for soil, asphalt, concrete) are advantageous.
Skills:
- Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively engage diverse project teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project) and document control systems.
- Competence in Microsoft Office Suite.
