The candidate for this role will be responsible for delivering ETL solutions that are reliable, efficient, secure and scalable. They will build, test and operate data extract, transform, and load functions in Oncor's complex data environment.
Required Skills and Experience :
- 5 combined years' experience administering ETL functionality using tools like Ab Initio and Informatica
- Experience working with various Data warehouses
- Strong knowledge of SQL for data querying and manipulation
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Shell etc) to automate ETL tasks
- Understanding of relational database concepts
- Extensive hands-on experience on various data transformation techniques
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve the issues in the ETL pipelines
- Experience in identifying and resolving performance issues and bottlenecks in ETL workflows
- Working and basic knowledge of Java and tomcat web applications
- Knowledge and experience in migration of ETL workflows
- Experienced with automated deployment tools
- Deep conceptual and applied understanding of DevOps concepts, tools, and practices
- Hands-on experience with CI / CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, or comparable substitutes
- Must have good analytic skills and the ability to apply these skills in a multi-tasking environment where multiple projects will require participation at a given time.
- Must have outstanding skills in communicating complex technical issues, and providing comprehensive written, oral and / or digital products.
- Working knowledge of networking topics such as protocols, SFTP, NAS, firewalls, load balancer, etc.
- Must have the willingness to document, share knowledge and train other members of the team.
