Job description
Position: ETL Analyst/Developer
Location: Hybrid (1 day min in office)
Job Type-Contract to Hire
Key Roles & Responsibilities
The candidate for this role will be responsible for delivering ETL solutions that are reliable, efficient, secure and scalable.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 5 combined years’ experience administering ETL functionality using tools like Ab Initio and Informatica
- Experience working with various Data warehouses * Strong knowledge of SQL for data querying and manipulation
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Shell etc) to automate ETL tasks * Understanding of relational database concepts
- Extensive hands-on experience on various data transformation techniques
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve the issues in the ETL pipelines
- Experience in identifying and resolving performance issues and bottlenecks in ETL workflows
- Working and basic knowledge of Java and tomcat web applications
- Knowledge and experience in migration of ETL workflows
- Experienced with automated deployment tools
- Deep conceptual and applied understanding of DevOps concepts, tools, and practices
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, or comparable substitutes
- Must have good analytic skills and the ability to apply these skills in a multi-tasking environment where multiple projects will require participation at a given time.
- Must have outstanding skills in communicating complex technical issues, and providing comprehensive written, oral and/or digital products.
- Working knowledge of networking topics such as protocols, SFTP, NAS, firewalls, load balancer, etc.
- Must have the willingness to document, share knowledge and train other members of the team.
Preferred:
- Experience with Ab Initio and / or Informatica
- Experience on Unix environment
- Experience on using enterprise scheduling tool like Automic Work scheduler, Control-M, Tivoli, Run My Job
- Working knowledge of SFTP management
- Understanding of relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL
- Experience on SQL for data querying, manipulation and performance improvements
- Experience with Agile teams, tools, practices & ceremonies (kanban, stand-ups, sprints, etc.)
- Keeps abreast of relevant industry leading standards and emerging technologies
