What are the responsibilities and job description for the Educational Consultant/Coach position at CESA #12?
Job Purpose:
To provide high quality professional learning, coaching, and technical assistance for educators and leaders within our local seventeen CESA 12 school districts.
Position Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in related field, Masters (preferred)
- Valid Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Licensure, as well as other leadership experiences such as Department/Grade Level Lead, Instructional Coach, Principal, Director of Curriculum and Instruction, etc.
- Minimum of 5 years of instructional experience

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage and lead multiple projects at the same time for different districts
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills supporting professional learning and continuous improvement
- Strong ability to lead educational equity practices both at the system and instructional level

- Obtain and maintain Department of Public Instruction certification
- Ability to problem solve and manage work time effectively and efficiently
- Establish and maintain positive and cooperative relationships with students, parents, administrators, and all school district staff
- Ability to travel to schools districts within the CESA 12 Region
- Ability to travel to professional learning opportunities in Wisconsin and nationally
- Ability to establish and maintain strong professional relationships with role-alike positions at the Department of Public Instruction and other CESA’s
Performance Responsibilities:
- Assist districts to develop and implement a comprehensive improvement plans in grades PreK-12; equity focus
- Collaborate with district and school administrators to support and implement evidence based instructional practices
- Provide instructional coaching for classroom teachers based on student outcome and practice data; equity focus
- Promote and model strong universal instructional practices aligned to the Wisconsin State Standards that engage all students
- Provide coaching and roll out professional learning to support implementation of evidence based system-wide practices
- Conduct walk-throughs looking for systematic instructional practice and documents evidence of implementation and areas of improvement
- Support the strategic use of data at the student, classroom, school and district level (includes student outcome data at the aggregate and disaggregate levels as well as implementation or practice data)
- Provide leadership and expertise in the selection, acquisition, evaluation, and organization of high quality instructional materials
- Support and implement networking opportunities for practicing educators
- Collaborate with the Department of Public Instruction Content Areas Teams, state and national educational organizations, and other CESA consultants across the state
- Collaborate with other educators to build and strengthen connections and form strong professional relationships with district staff
- Work collaboratively as a CESA 12 Team Member
- Build strong relationships with educators in the CESA 12 region
- Perform other duties as assigned by administration
