POSITION SUMMARY :

The Vice President of Human Resources (HR) provides executive-level leadership and guidance to the organizations HR operations. The Vice President is responsible for setting, enforcing, and evaluating legally compliant human resources policies, procedures, and best practices, and identifying and implementing long-range best-in-class strategic talent management goals within the organization. All of this is in support of a thoughtful people first approach, through the lens of our core values!

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

Strategic Leadership-

  • Collaborates with executive leadership to define the organization's long-term mission and goals and identifies ways to support this mission through talent management.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies that support the organization’s objectives and foster a performance, inclusion, and engagement culture.
  • Identifies key performance indicators for the organization's human resource and talent management functions; assesses the organization's success and market competitiveness based on these metrics.

Talent Management-

  • Oversee recruitment, retention, and talent development initiatives to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce.
  • Provides guidance and leadership to the human resource management team; assists with resolution of human resource, compensation, and benefits questions, concerns, and issues.
  • Employee Relations-

  • Foster a positive workplace culture by addressing employee concerns, facilitating conflict resolution, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  • Performance Management-

  • Research develops and implements a performance appraisal system that drives accountability and encourages employee growth and development.
  • Compensation and Benefits-

  • Lead the design and administration of competitive compensation, benefits, and employee incentive programs to attract and retain top talent.
  • Organizational Development-

  • Assess organizational needs and implement programs that enhance workforce effectiveness, including training, succession planning, and leadership development.
  • Diversity and Inclusion-

  • Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives to create a workforce that reflects various perspectives and backgrounds.
  • Compliance and Risk Management-

  • Ensure HR practices comply with legal and regulatory requirements regarding employment, benefits, insurance, safety and other laws, and proactively manage risks related to employment practices.
  • Maintains knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, human resources, and talent management.
  • HR Technology-

  • Oversee the implementation and management of HR information systems and ensure the effective use of technology in HR processes.
  • Budget Management-

  • Develop and manage the HR budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to meet organizational needs.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities-

  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and training management-level HR staff.
  • Oversee the department's daily workflow.
  • Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees by company policy.
  • Participate in professional development and networking conferences and events.
  • Requirements :

    ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS :

  • Knowledge of and experience with varied human resource information systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree and / or HR Certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.
  • At least ten years of human resource management experience is required, with strategic, talent management, and / or business development experience highly preferred .
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING ENVIRONMENT

    Frequency of mobility, lifting, climbing, standing, sitting, reaching, speaking, vision, color vision, outdoors / indoors, noise level, fumes / odor, chemical exposure, or any other environmental hazards)

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
