Real time communication with customer about any engineering inquiries and issues.
Key account manager for main customer in North America.
Job Description
Lead the weekly engineering meeting of EPS motor on-site at customer engineering center and reporting on product development and open issues. Highlighting key development issues and manage plan to resolve the issues.
Lead engineering discussions with customers to address issues and propose effective solutions.
Working closely together with engineering team to define products that will meet the customer's needs.
Collaborate closely with customers to develop innovative design concepts, aligning with their needs and preferences.
Manage technical activities and monitor progress towards project milestones.
Defining and managing product design for the electric motors and related components
Working with teammates to maintain product DFMEA
Lead negotiation and manage to implement VAVE items to drive cost savings and process improvements.
Interfacing with HQ marketing and R&D teams to deliver competitive solutions.
Developing strong engineering relationships with customer.
Execute quality issue tracking and initial response to the customers.
Quality assurance activity and support Mexico manufacturing plant.
Communicate with the R&D team and quality team in HQ for successful development of the EPS project and resolve quality issues and perform root cause co-analysis and deliver 8D report to customers.
Attend regular quality meeting and follow up the quality activity including 4M changes.
Coordinate with R&D team in HQ and customers for on-going program issues and progress.
Monthly reporting of market intelligence about automotive industry.
Qualifications
Strong background in Electric Power Steering Motor
Understand electric power steering system
Communication skill with customers' PJT members / managers and with HQ teams
A minimum of 8 years of experience of electric motor design and automotive industry experience in product design, development.
Proficiency both of English and Korean
Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical engineering
Skill : Catia, AutoCAD, Ansys, GD&T, Root cause analysis, MS Office
Routinely visit to customer engineering center in Saginaw.
5~10% travel to Mexico and Korea.
