Job Title: Bookkeeping Account Supervisor
Reports To: CEO
Status: Hourly
Location: CF&O
Summary: Assist the Accounting Team in the day-to-day accounting functions for our clients based on their need and scope of work, includes for-profit and non-profit clientele in a variety of industries. Oversee daily processes, financial closes, upper level accounting functions, and accountability of AP Specialists, Payroll Specialist and other support staff servicing client base you are assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assist CEO and management team with overall day-to-day client processing
- Enter client data into appropriate accounting software
- Apply knowledge and utilize Item List transactions for cost accounting (specific to construction and manufacturing industries), sales tax items, and payroll items
- Reconcile accounts with financial institution documents
- Make journal entries with understanding of the effects on accounts, debits, and credits
- Process and/or oversee payroll, tax deposits, COI’s and 1099’s with vendor tracking
- Assist in compiling tax and payroll documents monthly, quarterly and annually as directed
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports as requested
- Compile reporting and necessary support documents for all audits
- Understand and track cash flow to assist with projections, budgets and consulting
- Oversee the review, posting, attachments, and paying of bills/Accounts Payable and all receipts
- Coordinate with Closing Agent on financial closes and follow-up when necessary – showing in depth knowledge base of Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet documents
- Prepare estimates, invoices and receive payments for clients
- Create and maintain inventory levels, including pricing and taxability, with balances and re-order points when necessary
- Receive inventory, if applicable, matching packing slips to PO’s
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of all client base in order to properly code and classify transactions and interpret reporting
- Transport client items to and from their place of business
- Establish base of information exchange with each client according to their needs and comfort level to effectively provide services that meet and exceed expectations
- Properly update and maintain time and task management software as assigned
- Maintain Pro-Advisor certifications
- Attend assigned trainings, staff meetings and huddles – integrate materials and information into better serving clients and the CF&O team
- Send correspondence via mail or e-mail on behalf of CF&O and its associates

Education/Experience:
High School diploma or GED equivalent; Associate's degree (A. A.)/Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.E.) in Business Administration or Accounting; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Accounting and Quickbooks experience required.
Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, accounting procedures, GAAP functionality, professional journals, and technical procedures. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to communicate with clients in written and verbal (in person and via phone) formats.
Math Ability:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply these general mathematics to real world problems.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
Word processing (must demonstrate ability to type 45 wpm minimum), 10-Key proficiency, Excel proficiency, QuickBooks proficiency (Quickbooks centric – installation and maintenance of software a plus), Internet software, E-mail, Accounting software, Payroll software.
