What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Manager-Fiber and Plastics position at CFC Recycling?
CFC Recycling is seeking an experienced and results oriented General Manager to oversee all aspects of our fiber and plastics warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will need to be capable of driving operational efficiency that can drive business productivity safely and to company standards.
Key responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of the fiber and plastics division.
Lead and mentor a team of employees to achieve operational and business goals
Collaborate with sales managers and other team members on daily basis
Schedule in and out loads to completion and in expected time frames
Organize and over see production of warehouse floor
Quality control of finished goods
Will need to be able to maintain and operate all equipment
Track and maintain inventory
Cultivate safe working conditions and culture
Possess a knowledge of plastic, paper, glass and metal recyclables
Be able to adapt to change and switch task in times of urgency
Make sure that all invoices and paperwork is entered into the proper system daily and accurately
Qualifications
Proven ability to manage and lead a diverse team of employees
Strong communication and problem solving skills
Ability to make strategic decisions in a fast paced environment
Be adaptable to change when needed in times of urgency
Experience in warehouse settings
Energetic and self motivated
Prior experience with forklift and skid steer helpful
4yr College Degree and/or 4 plus years of management/leadership experience preferred in a warehouse setting.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are of the upmost importance
Must be able to complete and pass all required employment screenings including background check and drug screen
Must have valid drivers license and reliable transportation
Must be able to work Monday -Friday and Saturdays as needed.
