CFD Research is looking to fill our intern class for the Summer of 2025. Interns in this program will be responsible for modeling and simulation for a wide array of aerospace applications. The intern will be trained by a team of engineers to help develop and employ automated aerodynamic, aerothermal, thermal elastic, and / or blast data generation workflows. This data will be used by the team to develop machine learning models which can be used as surrogates for the full physics-based process. The program runs 8-10 weeks over the summer and has flexible start and finish dates based on candidate's availability (typically mid-May to August).
Each CFD Research Internship has both a mentor and technical manager to help guide them on their research project over the summer. In addition to challenging technical work, CFD Research's program offers professional development and social activities designed to help our interns have a great, all-around summer internship experience.
