Job Description

Position Overview

Torch Technologies, a leader in aerospace solutions, is seeking a passionate and talented Aerospace Engineer 2025 Summer Intern for our dynamic team. This opportunity is ideal for an engineering student who is enthusiastic about contributing to cutting-edge aerospace projects. The intern will work under the guidance of experienced engineers and will have the chance to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world applications, gaining invaluable hands-on experience in the aerospace industry.

This is a summer internship, lasting 12 weeks.

Key Responsibilities

Within your internship, you may…

Assist in the design and analysis of aerospace components and systems.
Participate in the development and testing of prototypes.
Conduct computational simulations and analyze data to evaluate designs.
Support the team in researching new aerospace materials and technologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve engineering problems.
Document and present findings and progress in team meetings.
Adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements in aerospace engineering.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

Currently enrolled as a sophomore or junior at Auburn University or the University of Tennessee, Knoxville pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related STEM field.
Strong foundation in aerodynamics, thermodynamics, and material science.
Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., CAD, MATLAB, ANSYS).
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Requirements

US Citizen.
At least 18 years old.
Actively enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited educational institution.
In good academic standing with a grade point average of 3.0.
Commitment to a full-time schedule during the internship period.
