Corrections Site Medical Director – Lead Healthcare in a Unique Setting

What You’ll Do
- Lead and oversee medical care by supervising clinical staff, ensuring high-quality patient care, and maintaining compliance with correctional healthcare standards.
- Provide direct patient care, including physical examinations, chronic disease management, and prescribing treatments.
- Collaborate with nursing staff, correctional officials, and external specialists to ensure timely and coordinated care.
- Ensure compliance with medical guidelines, infection control policies, and industry best practices.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide on-call medical leadership as needed.
What You Bring
- Education – MD or DO with completion of a U.S.-based residency program.
- Licensure – Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of practice, along with DEA and CDS certification.
- Experience – Minimum of two years in public health, emergency medicine, or primary care (correctional healthcare experience preferred).
- Skills – Strong leadership, clinical decision-making, and communication skills, with proficiency in electronic health records (EHR).
- Certifications – Current CPR certification.
- Availability – Ability to provide 24-hour on-call medical guidance, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
