CFI is looking to have a Staff Accountant join our growing team in Jacksonville, FL. The primary focus of this role is to handle all financial reporting, along with AP and reconciliations. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized and detail-oriented professional with a desire to create efficiencies in our processes.
Essential Functions of the Role
- Coordinate and perform month end, quarter end and year end closing process: prepare monthly GL account details, prepare and post journal entries
- Prepare reconciliations of bank statements and credit card statements
- Investigate and resolve problems with customers and accounts payable vendors
- Manage the preparation and distribution of monthly sales reports
- Prepare and file monthly sales tax returns for applicable states
- Develop policies and procedures for accounting documentation and processing and supervise their implementation
- Assist in annual audit and preparation of the audited financial statements and tax returns
- Oversee accounting associate to ensure customer invoicing and vendor billing is done accurately and in a timely manner and give final approvals
- Manage employee benefits including deductions and eligibility status
- Track and manage office/business expenses
- Manage & track cashflow and prepare weekly reporting
- Recommend changes to policy/procedure to improve efficiency and effectiveness of accounting processes
- Other duties as assigned
What You Bring to CFI
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years experience in accounting or as staff accountant
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Ability to prepare and analyze financial data, financial reports, statements and projections
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to consistently meet deadlines
- Ability to analyze and resolve problems and make sound decisions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong Excel skills required
- Experience in Quickbooks Online preferred
- Experience in Smartsheet preferred

Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
