Sub-Function Description: Defines and executes production plans in a safe and quality manner to deliver products on time, including assembly, equipment operations, manufacturing processes, handling, and packaging.
Organizational Impact: Works to achieve day-to-day objectives with limited impact on area. Delivers level responsibilities following a defined standard output or set of procedures. Work consists of tasks that are very routine, or well-defined, with specific instructions to achieve standardized solutions. Work is closely supervised.

Knowledge & Experience: The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of people in the areas of production, scheduling, safety, maintenance, quality, and quantity standards.
Essential Functions | Accountabilities | Performance Measures
- Lead a team of people in execution of daily production tasks, work scheduling, training, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain workflow by monitoring process steps; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; implementing cost reductions; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
- Monitor visual workplace 5S principles.
- Complete production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel accomplish work results; establish priorities; monitor progress revise schedules; resolve problems; report results.
- Perform problem-solving to develop corrective actions for customer issues or to initiate continuous improvement.
- Ensure cleanliness and maintain a safe work environment by educating and directing staff on the use of equipment and resources; maintains compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Respond to problems by performing corrective technical or mechanical solutions.
- Maintain positive employee relations and adhere to company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.
- Implement and manage all maintenance functions, including but not limited to preventive, corrective and emergency maintenance.
- Others may be assigned.
- Regular and punctual attendance, consistently adhere to the assigned work schedule.
Communication & Influence: Communicates with contacts typically within the immediate work unit on matters that typically involve obtaining or providing information requiring little explanation or interpretation.

Certificates | Licenses | Registrations:
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred (Engineering degree is a plus)
- High School diploma is a must.
- Minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing environment and 3 years supervisory experience required.
- Lean 6 sigma certification preferred.
- Continuous improvement experience within a manufacturing environment is a plus.
Travel Required: Up to 5% travel. In support of corporate initiatives.
