Senior Quality Manager

CG Schmidt
CG Schmidt Salary
Milwaukee, WI Full Time
POSTED ON 4/17/2025
AVAILABLE BEFORE 6/17/2025

The Senior Quality Manager partners with our leadership team to inspire a culture of excellence throughout the organization. Quality and excellence are synonymous concepts. We should expect excellence from ourselves; from our coworkers; from our subcontractors; and from our business partners. If we have a mindset that demands excellence, we will achieve quality results.

Our approach to quality is based on the following fundamental concepts and beliefs:

  • Proactive planning – Preventing mistakes takes less time and is more cost-effective than correcting errors after the work is done. Rework is a waste.
  • Practical implementation – Our efforts to ensure quality need to align with the normal way we manage and supervise our projects.
  • Address real problems and concerns – We should prioritize fixing problems and errors that we know have resulted in complaints, rework, and/or warranty call-backs.
  • Focus on installations that are hard to fix later – It’s much easier (and less costly) to correct a mistake while the work is exposed and accessible than when the error is buried by other work.
  • Continuous improvement – Learning from past experiences and mistakes helps us deliver better results on future projects.

The Senior Quality Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, and continuous monitoring of quality management systems throughout all phases of construction, from design through to completion, including the project warranty period. This individual works closely with field supervisory staff and individual project teams to ensure all building components and systems are properly analyzed, planned, and executed to achieve quality outcomes. The Senior Quality Manager continually assesses existing quality management processes and applies lean construction concepts to make them better. In addition, this individual stays abreast of industry leading quality management approaches through active participation in industry associations, training and educational opportunities, and seminars/conferences. This individual conducts corporate-wide and on-the-job training sessions and publishes corporate best practices, quality awareness guidelines, and QA/QC protocols.
