Position Summary: The Quality Manager will provide audit functions of product and processes including customer owned inventory. The Quality Manager will gather and analyze data that will help drive the continuous improvement activities of QPI.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to create and interpret basic spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations
- Knowledge of ISO/AIB/HACCP
- Conduct audits of product critical features per design and customer specifications to ensure compliance to said critical features.
- Conduct audits of QPI processes to ensure compliance to the quality system
- Oversee PPAP and Spec Packs as required per product design and process changes
- Quality guidelines are created and maintained.
- Disposition non-conforming product in conjunction with the Operations Manager
- Supervises the quality technicians
- Documents, evaluates and implement all quality and food safety related programs.
- Participates in the yearly review of the food safety system.
Experience & Educational Requirements:
- Associates or Bachelor degree in Operations, Engineering, or other related field. Emphasis in Quality Assurance highly preferred.
- At least 5 years’ experience in manufacturing and safety required.
- Supervisory/management experience required.
- Experience with regulatory agencies required (AIB, SQF, ISO)
- Prior inspection/audit experience
- Knowledge of quality assurance methods and terminology: data collection, process monitoring, root cause analysis, and CI implementation
- Must have excellent written/verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain multiple tasks in an organized manner.
- Highly motivated, strong computer & organizational skills.
- Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills.
