A Brief Overview
CGL is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Facility Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is vital in ensuring the successful management and execution of facility projects while providing strategic oversight and support to project managers. You will work closely with various stakeholders to exceed client expectations and improve facilities operationally and strategically.
What you will do
- Cultivate strong interpersonal relationships with colleagues and clients, building a collaborative work environment
- Prepare for client meetings, contributing to discussions and providing insights that demonstrate your facility management expertise
- Interface effectively with clients and consultants, acting as a key point of contact throughout project lifecycles
- Express ideas clearly through verbal, written, graphic, and presentation formats, ensuring all communication is professional and persuasive
- Gain a thorough understanding of industry terminology, laws, standards, and best practices relevant to facility management and justice design
Your Day-to-day Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of reports and compile relevant content to convey findings and recommendations to stakeholders
- Demonstrate exceptional time management skills to meet project assignments and deadlines efficiently
- Support the project management team by contributing to various aspects of project management, including documentation, communication, and budget oversight
- Regularly update project document control systems, keeping all project information accurate and accessible.
- Identify projected problem areas, propose solutions, and communicate issues outside of your scope of responsibility effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree BA/BS Required or 5 year practical experience equivalency in Building Sciences – Construction, Architecture, engineering, or a related field
- 4-6 years of relevant construction services experience in both field and office settings, or 1-3 years in an Architectural or Engineering office.
- Required competency in various computer software programs such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft SharePoint & Teams, Bluebeam.
- Detail-oriented, proactive self-starter who can prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented atmosphere while under close supervision.
- Professional certifications such as RA, PE, CCM, CFM, or PMP are preferred but not mandatory.
