Computer Generated Solutions (CGS), is a global tech. company with 8,500 employees worldwide. We are seeking a hands-on Assistant Controller to join our growing corporate finance division based at our New York headquarters. CGS is located in the premier downtown location – Brookfield Place.
Hybrid Role:
- Remote on Fridays
- In-office in downtown NYC, Monday through Thursday.
Summary:
This is an individual contributor role, where you will be supporting the Controller and finance team with essential accounting functions. In this role, one of the primary responsibilities will be handling the month/year end close process. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, proactive, and eager to take the next step in their career.

Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the Controller and other members of the finance team.
- Hands-on with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Assist in managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department.
- Help in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with internal control policies and procedures.
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with financial audits.
- Help in developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Proven experience as an Assistant Controller, Senior Accountant, or in a similar role, with a strong focus on month-end/year-end close processes.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Experience with financial reporting and financial analysis.
- Knowledge of ERP systems is a plus.
