CH2M HILL BWXT West Valley, LLC (CHBWV) is the prime contractor selected by the U.S. Department of Energy to manage the Phase 1 - Facility Disposition Project at the West Valley Demonstration Project. The site is a scenic 30-minute drive south of Buffalo, New York. In cooperation with the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, CHBWV continues to decontaminate and decommission facilities at this site.

The Internship Program is an 8-10-week program with a 4-day workweek (10 hours per day).

JOB SUMMARY / PURPOSE OF POSITION
The internship program is designed to provide a comprehensive learning experience, develop practical skills, enhance knowledge, and make meaningful contributions to projects. Intern assignments will be determined based on business need and role availability with consideration to skills and development goals.
The Information Technology Intern will gain knowledge and experience in providing first-line technical support to end-users and address hardware, software, and network issues. The IT Intern will diagnose and resolve technical problems by guiding users through step-by-step solutions or escalating issues to appropriate support teams and gain ticket management experience through logging, prioritizing, and tracking support requests using helpdesk software, ensuring timely resolution.

REQUIREMENTS / SPECIFICATIONS
Pursuing a BA / BS in engineering, science, construction management, computer sciences, or other technically related fields of study
A combination of technical certifications, such as CompTIA A or networking, software development, cyber security, computer science, and practical experience in providing IT support.
Ability to intern for 10 weeks typically between May and August.
