Job Description
GDC IT Solutions is currently seeking an IT Project Manager for a primarily remote opportunity, with occasional onsite reporting during key project phases in Columbus, OH.
Position Overview
As an IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing assigned IT projects through all phases of project management, ensuring that deliverables meet quality standards and timelines. You will manage key stakeholders, including management, staff, and end users, and be responsible for defining project requirements, evaluating risks, addressing issues, and ensuring successful project completion. This role involves coordinating tasks, providing regular updates, and handling all aspects of project management to ensure seamless progress and delivery.
Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of assigned IT projects, from initiation through completion, ensuring successful delivery.
- Define IT project requirements, quality standards, and timelines, ensuring alignment with stakeholder expectations.
- Determine and evaluate risks that may affect project timelines and deliverables.
- Define specific activities and tasks needed to produce project deliverables and evaluate progress.
- Address any issues or problems found in testing and ensure that solutions are implemented to meet deadlines.
- Provide regular progress reports to stakeholders, highlighting performance, issues, and risks.
- Meet with stakeholders to define needs, gather feedback, and ensure projects align with expectations.
- Approve and manage changes within assigned IT projects, ensuring minimal disruption to timelines and deliverables.
- Coordinate and attend meetings with stakeholders, directing professional or technical staff when necessary.
- Ensure all project tasks are completed within the scheduled time frame and identify any potential delays.
Minimum Qualifications
- Proven experience in IT Project Management.
- Strong knowledge of Life Cycle Methodologies and experience applying them to IT projects.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within teams.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders.
- Ability to review and evaluate project progress to ensure timely delivery.
- Experience with Agile IT project management methodologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (SQL, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word).
- Demonstrated time management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations clearly to stakeholders and teams.
Preferred Experience
- Experience using Azure DevOps and Git for project tracking and version control.
- Supervisory and/or management experience, with the ability to guide teams and direct staff.
- Excellent organizational and customer service skills, with a focus on stakeholder satisfaction.
- Strong analytical, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to communicate complex project information effectively within a team setting.
