APRN - WOUND CARE

Position Summary:
The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) will oversee Wound Care department 1-2 days a week part -time. Opportunity for fulltime role for the right candidate with opportunity for oversight with oncology and/or family practice.
Willing to train the right candidate.
Prior wound care or oncology experience not required.
Job Duties:
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing.
• Diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions, providing evidence-based care.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and the healthcare team.
• Prescribe medications and therapies as appropriate, adhering to state regulations and institutional policies.
• Provide patient education on disease prevention, health promotion, and self-management strategies.
• Enter own provider orders and ensure timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR). .
• Document all patient interactions accurately and timely in electronic health records with in 72 business hours, to ensure patient safety.
• Assist as needed to promote services and grow practice volumes.
• All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
• Master's degree in nursing from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP).
• Certification by a recognized national certification board (e.g., ANCC, AANP).
• ACLS certification
Experience:
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a registered nurse.
• Completion and clinical rotation as Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program.
