Overview:
Elevate your career with CHAGEE as a Senior Accountant, where you’ll specialize in store-level accounting and play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial accuracy and operational efficiency of our expanding U.S. retail locations. You’ll report directly to the U.S. Accounting Manager and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including operations, supply chain, and store leadership.
What you'll do:
Store Financial Operations
- Reconcile daily store-level sales transactions across POS and ERP systems, ensuring alignment with bank accounts and the general ledger.
- Oversee store-level Accounts Payable (AP), process vendor payments, manage vendor relationships, and perform regular AP aging reconciliations.
- Collaborate with store managers to monitor and control COGS, inventory accuracy, and shrinkage.
- Partner with the Supply Chain team to improve automation of raw material and overseas purchasing processes.
- Evaluate existing POS and ERP systems to identify opportunities for financial automation and process improvements.
Month-End Close & Reporting
- Lead month-end close activities for retail locations including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
- Prepare financial summaries and conduct variance analysis for store-level P&L statements.
- Coordinate with budget owners to explain variances against forecasts.
- Reconcile all intercompany transactions and assist in consolidated financial reporting.
Collaboration & Compliance
- Partner with Operations to develop, implement, and enforce financial policies and procedures across all stores.
- Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a rapidly evolving environment.

Experience you need to be successful:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of accounting experience in a retail or multi-location restaurant environment.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and accounting principles.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with financial software such as NetSuite, Restaurant365, or similar ERP systems.
- Familiarity with POS systems and multi-location reporting.
- CPA certification or progress toward certification is preferred.
- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and a process improvement mindset.

The expected base salary range for this position is $100,000.00 - $125,000.00. Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on considerations including (but not limited to): relevant knowledge and experience for this position, skills, education, certifications and more.
