The Receptionist assumes responsibility for the clerical operations of the facility. This includes providing clerical support to all disciplines, accounts payable, purchasing and overseeing front desk operations. The person holding this position is delegated the responsibility for carrying out the assigned duties and responsibilities in accordance with current existing federal and state regulations and established company policies and procedures.
Job Knowledge / Duties - Receptionist :
Attends all mandatory in-services by the employee’s anniversary dateActs appropriately under the direction of the Administrator and acts as an active member of the interdisciplinary teamDemonstrates ability to adjust to changes in unit / shift assignments to meet facility needsProvides clerical support to the Administrator and respective disciplinesAssists with answering phones, running facility errands, and maintaining personnel filesDemonstrates responsibility for purchasing and accounts payable for all departmentsUpdates and preserves all current facility contractsMaintains and updates all physician licensure, credentials and insurance informationDemonstrates knowledge of and complies with the Code of Conduct and Corporate ComplianceProgram when performing work functionsIs aware of, and adheres to, Resident’s Bill of Rights and Confidentiality of ResidentInformationInteracts with residents, family members, co-workers, clinical and ancillary staff in a non- judgmental, supportive and calm mannerAddresses family satisfaction issues immediately and assists in resolving the matter in a professional mannerIs aware of Resident Abuse Reporting LawParticipates as assigned in the orientation of new staff and demonstrates a positive, helpful and enthusiastic attitudeCreates and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis as well as a calm environment throughout the facilityMust have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level they are currently functioningWe provide equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics.
