Job Title: Machine Operator, 2nd Shift
Job Description: A Machine Operator will be able to perform a variety of tasks related to the setup and operation of machinery, machine operations, quality control, and safety procedures. This position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet production goals and deadlines.
Pay Range: $21.41 - $23.41/ plus shift differential
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform complete machine setups to company standards.
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure product meets specifications.
- Read and interpret work orders and blueprints.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments, including tape measures and micrometers, to make necessary machine adjustments.
- Identify, set up, and utilize equipment, including jigs and fixtures, for various machines.
- Identify and understand different types of materials.
- Determine appropriate tooling for each machine and recognize when tooling needs replacement or repair.
- Maintain tooling in designated storage areas.
- Operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Perform routine machine maintenance, such as lubrication and oil checks.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to achieve production targets and meet deadlines.
- Adapt to changes in production schedules, tasks, and work processes as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Machine Operator.
- Strong understanding of machine setup, operation, and maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work orders.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring tools (tape measure, micrometer).
- Knowledge of various materials and tooling requirements.
- Forklift certification.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing production demands.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality
Education:
- Required: High school diploma or GED equivalent
Knowledge and Experience:
- Required: Three (3) – Five (5) years experience in manufacturing
