What You'll Do
- Responsible for Computer Numerically Controlled machines (i.e. generate, edit, troubleshoot and verify CNC Programs) utilizing CNC technology by means of programming, setup, and operating a CNC machine.
- Operate a CNC machine to produce parts, all of which must meet the dimensional specifications of the mechanical engineered drawing. (Challenge Mfg. Company offers newer and well-kept CNC equipment in a climate controlled environment. Equipment includes Haas CNC Mills and Mitsubishi Wire EDM)
- Inspect, verify and replace as needed tooling utilized in the CNC work center.
- Calculate, record and enter into the control the appropriate offsets for each tool.
- Maintain the appropriate production records in Plexus.
- Maintain the appropriate maintenance records in Plexus.
- Perform general (i.e. routine) maintenance of the equipment fluid levels and lubrication points
- Mastercam Programming preferred
This will be a 1st shift / 6:00AM-2:30PM M-F position located at our plant in Richmond, KY.
What You Need To Have
- High School Diploma or equivalent, some college or technical school preferred.
- Must have a minimum of two years' work experience as a CNC Programmer or Machinist / Operator.
- Tool and Die experience or training strongly preferred
- Must be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
