The Controller will be responsible for the financial activities of the company, including payroll, month-end closing, financial analysis, receivables and payables management, reconciliations, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with expertise in payroll management and month-end closing processes. Knowledge of benefits administration is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Help oversee the company's financial operations, including payroll processing and month-end closing activities.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and forecasts.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Verify the accuracy of account balances through complete and timely account reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and provide financial insights.
- Assist with external audits and tax filings as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- MBA, CPA, or CMA preferred.
- Expertise in payroll management and month-end closing processes.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
