We are looking for an IT Support Specialist to be the primary IT contact for our Dalton, GA manufacturing facility. You will handle Tier 1 issues, deploy devices, manage hardware inventory, and support video conferencing. Your role includes troubleshooting, administering IT services, and providing training for new associates. The ideal candidate has 1-3 years of IT experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Support end users through the ticketing system, handling Tier 1 issues.
- Serve as the primary IT contact for employees and facilities in Dalton, GA.
- Provide IT support for other facilities as needed.
- Deploy new devices for end users using Microsoft Intune.
- Perform hardware swaps for malfunctioning machines and coordinate with support channels to resolve hardware issues.
- Manage local inventory of hardware assets.
- Administer IT services and tools.
- Manage video conferencing equipment for company updates and client meetings.
- Assist with network and server devices and environments.
- Install and test software and hardware upgrades.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues as they arise.
- Respond to operational needs and questions from associates in a timely manner.
- Establish network users, environments, directories, and security measures.
- Conduct separation procedures such as disabling user accounts, backing up data, running reports, and providing access to email and data when required.
- Perform IT training sessions for new associates during onboarding and ensure they receive demonstrations of software programs used.
- Create documentation for systems and procedures.
- Identify ideas that can benefit the department and the company, and discuss them with your direct supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS and COMPETENCIES:
- 1-3 years of IT experience directly supporting users, both locally and remotely.
- Experience with network or system administration is a plus.
- Proficiency in setting up and installing Windows operating systems and Office 365.
- Working knowledge of other programs such as Visio, Project, and other applications.
- Familiarity with internal communication tools, such as video conferencing.
- Ability to document and communicate important items clearly and concisely for a non-technical audience.
- Strong listening skills and a positive response to questions and issues.
- Ability to respond immediately and consistently to critical issues.
- Willingness to take ownership of projects and job responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- Team player mindset who willingly assists others whenever possible.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel.
