Summary
Chamberlain Advisors is currently seeking a Data Governance & Quality Analyst to support data governance initiatives by developing and implementing metadata management, data lineage, and data quality processes. This role focuses on functional work using technical tools, such as SQL, Collibra, Python, and BI tools, rather than the administration of data governance platforms.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in data quality rule development, data lineage creation, and governance tools, preferably in Financial Services or Insurance. They should possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills and be able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Our client is one of the world's largest equity derivatives clearing organizations and is a foundation for secure markets. This client operates under the jurisdiction of both the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and now provides central counterparty clearing and settlement services to 19 exchanges and trading platforms for options, financial futures, security futures, and securities lending transactions.

What You Will Be Accountable For
- Collaborate with Data Domain Owners and SMEs to define Critical Data Elements (CDEs) and develop a Business Glossary.
- Partner with data modelers to ensure alignment between business and technical metadata.
- Design, develop, and execute business and technical data lineage across various data sources.
- Implement metadata management using metadata bridges, connectors, and custom source-to-target mappings.
- Develop and execute Data Quality Rules to maintain data integrity across platforms, including Kafka, APIs, Databases, JSON, Flat Files, and BI tools.
- Conduct data profiling and analysis to identify and remediate data quality issues.
- Design and implement Data Quality Dashboards for real-time monitoring and reporting.
- Ensure adherence to data governance policies, procedures, and standards.
- Perform root cause analysis and manage Data Quality Exceptions.
- Act as a liaison between business and technical teams to communicate data governance requirements effectively.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 7 years’ experience in Data Governance, Data Quality, and Metadata Management.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Experience using Collibra, IBM Infosphere, or Informatica in data governance.
- Experience Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Amazon Redshift, and/or NoSQL databases and ETL tools.
- Knowledge of data sources like Protobuf, APIs, Kafka, JSON, and BI tools (Tableau, Cognos).
- Strong ability to develop data flow diagrams, metadata mappings, and architecture documentation.
- Prior development or coding experience in Python, Java, or similar languages.
- Experience working with data governance policies, compliance, and regulatory frameworks.
- Familiarity with cloud-based data solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience in financial services or insurance industries preferred.
