Chamberlain Advisors is seeking a Process Improvement Engineer I with expertise in Lean Six Sigma and Industrial Engineering for our direct client in the airline and travel industry. This role will support process analysis and documentation efforts to develop user task guides for business groups, ensuring operational continuity during technology disruptions. The 6-month project will focus on one business group at a time, documenting critical processes and ensuring that tested and agreed-upon Business Continuity Planning (BCP) user guides are created. What You Will Be Accountable For
- Perform process observations and support the creation of data-driven process maps.
- Assist in documenting workflows and identifying areas for process improvement.
- Support the development of visual "how-to" user guides to assist business groups during technology disruption events.
- Utilize Lean Six Sigma techniques to enhance operational efficiency and streamline processes.
- Work closely with Process Improvement Engineer II and business stakeholders to validate processes and ensure alignment with Business Continuity Planning (BCP).
- Assist in testing and refining user guides before finalization.
- Support the transition of completed guides to the next business group in the project plan.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Process Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in process improvement, business analysis, or industrial engineering.
- Lean Six Sigma certification (Yellow Belt or higher preferred).
- Experience with process mapping, workflow analysis, and business continuity planning (BCP).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Visio, Power BI, and data analytics tools.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate process changes effectively.
- Previous experience in aviation, transportation, or large-scale operational environments is a plus.
