Director of Business Development
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Director of Business Development will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to acquire new clients and strengthen relationships with existing ones. This role will focus on identifying business opportunities, crafting proposals, securing management contracts, and building a robust network within the multi-family real estate industry. The ideal candidate is a results-driven professional with a strong understanding of property management services, market trends, and client needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage both our existing sales pipeline and the development of new business opportunities and partnerships.
- Identify trends and customer needs, building a sales pipeline for short / medium / long term in accordance with Chamberlin Associates targets.
- Generate new leads, identify and contact decision-makers, screen potential business opportunities, select deals in line with strategies and facilitate pitch logistics to future prospect clients.
- Development of new-business proposals, budgets and any other reports needed to create and deliver a presentation, with well thought out strategy, that identifies and provides solutions to the target client's needs.
- Conduct sales calls and set meetings (zoom and in-person)
- Monitor and evaluate industry trends and customer drivers.
- Manage/Support/Coach department team member(s)
- Maintain and share professional knowledge through education, networking, events, and presentations.
- Willing to travel throughout Arizona and various states to meet potential clients.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in sales techniques and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
- Proven ability to plan and manage resources.
- Aggressive self-starter.

- Strong leadership skills, team builder, great motivator, proactive, mentoring skills, and excellent communication.
- Relationship Management with both internal and external customers.
- Ability to communicate accessibly and concisely about services offer at Chamberlin Associates to outsiders, including prospective customers and clients, partners, and vendors.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES, & CERTIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or related field is a plus
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in Multifamily Property Management, with current role of at least a Regional Manager or equivalent.
