Job Requirements:
- Performs job site clean up
- Demolition
- Installs/removes perimeter fencing
- Removes temporary handrails
- Strips concrete forms
- Supplies materials to carpenters
- Sets up equipment for use at start of day
- Cleans and puts away equipment at end of day
- Keeps tools clean and in good operating condition
- Starts work on time
- Follows safety rules
- Has reliable transportation to jobsite
- Has standard hand tools
Apprentices to learn to:
- Perform rough and finished carpentry from beginning to end
- Apply sheathing for walls and roofs
- Installs various types and forms of paneling
- Construct concrete forms; pours, finishes and repairs concrete pads, footings, stairs and related items
- Weather barrier installation
- Construct complete window and door frames
- Install windows and hangs doors
- Lays finished flooring
- Builds and installs customized shelves, cabinets and/or counters
- Operate general construction equipment on site
- Perform calculations for material and supply requirements
- Read and interpret blueprints
