What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Receptionist position at Chambers Hospice?
- Coordinate and refer all incoming phone calls and office visitors to ensure accurate and timely communication, and that the office is presented in a positive manner.
- Coordinate all activities involved in the preparation of correspondence to facilitate ongoing communications and efficient departmental operations.
- Maintain appropriate office records and established departmental filing systems ensuring the expeditious retrieval of information so that Managers/Supervisors will be able to retrieve information.
- Maintain office supplies.
- Maintain a positive and friendly attitude with physician’s office staff and/or hospitals.
- Process physician orders and other required documents to ensure accurate and timely billing of patient records.
- Process incoming/outgoing mail and faxes to appropriate recipients to ensure accurate delivery.
- Scanning and attaching of patient files to patient records to ensure accurate patient health records
- Ensure prescriptions for controlled substances are tracked, monitored, and tracking log is reconciled weekly
- Ensuring NP notes and RN recert notices for upcoming recerts are sent to Medical Director weekly.
- Coordinate death certificate processing with Medical Director
- Submit all locked HIS weekly.
- Always maintains and orders medical supply inventory and reconciles invoices
- Monitors nursing home medical record coordination
- Notifies supply companies and pharmacies of patient deaths
- Coordinates NP scheduling notifications monthly
- Prepares bereavement cards and letters for mailing
- Maintains adequate supply of Admit Folders at all times
- Update Emergency Preparedness Binder weekly.
- Maintain patient birthday report weekly
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
