We are seeking a dedicated individual with a passion for children’s education to join our team in a Head Start classroom, working with 3 and 4 year old children. As a teacher, you’ll play a key role in fostering the intellectual, emotional, and social growth of young learners. Head Start and Early Head Start are federally funded programs that promote school readiness of children ages 0-5 from eligible families. The premise of Head Start is simple: every child, regardless of circumstances at birth, has the ability to reach their full potential.

Position Details:
- Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00am-5:00pm
- Pay: From $15.00 per hour; increasing depending on education and experience.
What We’re Looking For:
- At least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Child Development Associate (CDA) or higher degree in Early Childhood Education required.
- Able to pass a fingerprint background check.
- Prior experience working with children in a classroom required.
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Stay engaged and supervise children in your care, ensuring safety and promoting active participation in all activities.
- Plan and lead activities that support children’s development in social, emotional, physical, and cognitive areas.
- Maintain an organized and supportive classroom environment.
- Build positive relationships with staff, parents, and volunteers.
- Be attentive to the health and well-being of children, responding to their needs as appropriate.
- Perform other work-related duties assigned by the Team Lead, Executive Director, or Associate Director.
